Sternberg’s Triarchic Theory of Intelligence
Sternberg’s Triarchic Theory of Intelligence categorizes the intelligence's of humans into three groups. The three different categories to processes information is analytically, creatively, and practically. Analytical intelligence is for people who are able to take problems apart and solve them using logically reasoning and planing. Usually when people are successful in school, they are categorized with having analytical intelligence. The creative intelligence are for people who are able to learn quickly and are good at solving problems by applying new ideas and creating solutions. Having the ability to find different ways to solve problems differently categorizes people into the creative intelligence. Practical intelligence is for people who are street smart and have the ability to shape real world experiences and environments (Sternberg's Triarchic Theory of Human Intelligence). These individuals get along with all types of people and they understand different cultures. Students learn differently according to which category of Sternberg’s Triarchic Theory of Intelligence they are a part of (2.3).
